MATHEMATICS
Major in Mathematics
To obtain the BA, the successful Mathematics will be required to complete 41 credit hours of mathematics courses. These courses are:

Math 1431 - Calculus I
Math 1432 - Calculus II
Math 2431 - Calculus III
Math 2338 - Introduction to Programming
Math 2340 - A Transition to Mathematics
Math 2343 - Differential Equations
Math 3171 - Junior Seminar (May substitute Math 4182 Senior Project)
Math 3334 - Linear Algebra I
Math 4181 - Senior Seminar (May substitute Math 4183 Senior Project)
Math 4331 - Real Analysis I
Math 4338 - Abstract Algebra I

Electives: 9 credit hours of upper division (3000-4000) courses. The interested student is referred to the UST catalog for additional information.

Students in the Cooperative Engineering Program receive a BA degree in Mathematics from the University of St. Thomas and a bachelor from the sister campus. See the UST catalog for courses required at UST.
