Edward P. White
Shortly before his death in 2005, architect Philip Johnson provided a creative concept of monument, a work of art to be completed in 2007. Planned for the prominent corner of Montrose Boulevard at West Alabama street, this new Houston landmark will stand in a plaza dedicated to the memory of University benefactor Edward P. White. Situated as the northern gateway to the Houston Museum District, the University invites all to visit this beautiful academic village “to contemplate the goodness and wonder of life.”
Major University Benefactors Raye White and her late husband, Ed White, quietly contributed outstanding support to the successful $65 million campaign chaired by Liz Ghrist. |
