The Doherty Library has the strongest commitment to the liberal arts, to cultivate the life of the mind and to impart knowledge to the student that will instill a love for truth and promote intellectual discipline. The library will continue to support the core values of the University: goodness, discipline, knowledge and community.

The University has the strongest commitment to the religious, moral and intellectual formation of the whole person. To support this commitment, the mission of the Doherty Library is to acquire, and make readily available, print and electronic information resources in accordance with the diverse academic needs of the University.  Promoting the use of these resources is also central to the library mission.
