CBE Mass Blesses Businesses
Graphic: Center for Business Ethics LogoThe University of St. Thomas Center for Business Ethics recognizes business leaders as stewards, not owners, who work together as persons of faith for the common good. The second annual Mass for Commerce, celebrated by the Most Rev. Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, Archbishop of Galveston-Houston, commends the professional and spiritual life in Houston’s Catholic business community.

The Mass is at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 30 in the Chapel of St. Basil with a breakfast reception in the Ahern Room, Crooker Center.
The Mass for Commerce provides an opportunity to bring together all professions, at all levels of business, and serves as a reminder of the necessity to incorporate faith into daily life. This annual event is open to people of all faiths.

In a written statement in support of the Mass, Cardinal DiNardo describes how God’s plan unfolds for each person regardless of their state in life.

“God has a plan for every soul to grow closer to him in holiness that is as personal as the individual is singular,” Cardinal DiNardo said. “This plan unfolds in time, so that no matter what state we might find ourselves in life, we can discern our way along the path of God’s providence by the truth and the light of the Gospel.”
