MBB Celts Have First-Ever 3-0 Start
Photo: Bryan Kaase Mid-jumpshotThe University of St. Thomas men’s basketball team had to scratch and claw for the full 40 minutes to defeat a good Jarvis Christian College team 79-72 on Nov. 12. The final tally was the biggest lead St. Thomas had all night.

The Bulldogs came ready to play as they jumped to an 8-0 lead early, but St. Thomas fought back to tie the game at 24 before the half. The lead went back and forth for the rest game.

Senior Travis Lampley had his second double-double of the year with 11 points and 10 assists. Senior Andrew Graves chipped in 14 points in 16 minutes. Junior Bryan Kaase had 15 points, and senior Caleb Williams had 11 points.

The win makes the Celts 3-0 for the first time ever at UST.
Next up for UST is Lubbock Christian University at 2 p.m. on Nov. 16 in San Antonio, Texas, for the Halo Classic at Our Lady of the Lake University.
