| PhD Student Gives Philosophy Paper in Munich |
Daniel DeHaan, a doctoral candidate at the University of St. Thomas Center for Thomistic Studies was awarded a place at a summer graduate seminar sponsored by the Munich School of Philosophy. The topic of the seminar is “Minds: Human and Divine – Explorations at the Interface Between Philosophy of Mind and Philosophy of Religion.” The seminar solicited applications from recent Ph.D. recipients as well as current graduate students, and 20 students from around the world were invited to attend.
The seminar will be followed by an international conference on the same subject, on Aug. 6-9, where leading figures in analytic philosophy of religion will present papers. DeHaan’s award for summer study is being underwritten by the Templeton Foundation and includes tuition, travel, lodging and full-board, for both summer school and the international conference.
