Sign Up for Service Day Projects

Pictured L to R: UST President, Dr. Robert Ivany and Delano Foster.University President Dr. Robert Ivany invites the UST family to roll up their sleeves for President’s Day of Service from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Feb. 15. For the 10th year, the President’s Day of Service offers a wide range of service projects. All Celts – students, alumni, faculty, staff and families – will have the chance to work side-by-side and support the University without leaving campus.

Amanda Villanueva, assistant director of Student Activities, is looking forward to this year’s projects.

“In developing leaders of faith and character, community service is a cornerstone to establishing lifelong leadership skills,” Villanueva said. “President’s Day of Service is a great way to interact with your community and begin that development today.”

The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a free breakfast with Ivany in Crooker Center, and projects begin at 9 a.m.

Service projects include:

Volunteers will paint the Student Affairs office in first floor Crooker Center and touch up the mural in second floor Crooker Center.

Project Linus
Volunteers will make fleece blankets for area fire departments to give to critically ill children.

Volunteers will plant flowers and maintain flowerbeds across campus.

Campus Beautification
Volunteers will do various projects such as cleaning the University Seal, house signs, golf carts and benches around campus.
