UST Offers Summer Camps and Classes

Get ahead this summer with a variety of summer programs available at University of St. Thomas. The University offers athletic, academic and music camps for all ages during June and July. This summer’s camps include athletics camps for basketball, soccer and volleyball, Business Boot Camp, Life & Genome Summer Camp, music camps for piano, guitar and strings, Summer Institute of Mathematics and two philosophy camps - Critical Thinking & Logic and Virtue, Character & Community.

Full-day camps include lunch. All camps take place on the University’s campus. Visit the Summer Camps page for dates, pricing and registration information for each camp.

Enroll in Summer Classes

Students have the opportunity to jump ahead in their degree plans or start a new degree through two summer sessions. Classes are available at the graduate and undergraduate levels for current University students, as well as undergraduate classes for high school students looking for dual credit. Students from other universities are also welcome to apply. Session I begins May 27 and Session II begins July 7. See the full list of undergraduate and graduate offerings.

Freshmen Start Early at the Mendenhall Summer Institute

Incoming St. Thomas college freshmen can apply for the Mendenhall Summer Institute. They earn six credit hours before the fall semester begins and make lifelong friends at the same time for only $750 tuition. Classes emphasize creative and effective thinking skills. Mentors help with topics such as identifying leadership opportunities or ways to get involved on campus.

Students who successfully complete the five-week program can be considered for a $2,000 tuition grant. See the Mendenhall Summer Institute page for more details.
