UST Remembers Father Thomas Patrick Warden
Photo: Fr Thomas Patrick WardenFather Thomas Patrick (Pat) Warden, C.S.B., died Monday, May 21, 2012. He was eighty years old, born in Houston, Texas on November 23 1931. He was a priest on the Congregation of Saint Basil (C.S.B.) and was ordained a priest by Bishop John L. Morkovsky on December 11, 1965 at Saint Anne Church in Houston, Texas.

He was predeceased by his parents William A. Warden and Margaret Helen (McNally) Warden, and his beloved niece, Beth Therese Omelchuck. He is survived by his sisters, Sister Mary Therese Warden, OP, Margaret Omelchuck and husband Al, his brother, Father Daniel L. Warden, two nieces, Molly Ann Omelchuck and Kathryn Grace Rocheleau, and three nephews, Joseph Patrick, Daniel Gerard, Gregory Warden Omelchuck, and two great nieces, his cousins and other relatives and friends. Father Pat is also survived by his Basilian brothers.

Father Pat was assigned to Saint Anne Parish in Houston from 1966 to 1969. He spent the next twenty years in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and then returned to Houston and resided and worked at the Basilian Residence at the University of Saint Thomas in Houston.

The wake/vigil service will be Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 7:30 PM, in the parish hall at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer, Houston, Texas 77098. This service will be led by the Basilian Fathers.

The funeral Mass will be on Friday, May 25, 2012, at 1:30 PM at Saint Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer, Houston, Texas 77098. Burial will be in the Basilian plot in the Garden of Gethsemeni in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas. Father Daniel L. Warden will be presider and main celebrant, and concelebrants will be the Bishops, Basilian Fathers, and other diocesan and religious priests of the Archdiocese of Galveston.
