Waverly Sadler Signing DayWaverly Sadler will put on scarlet and gold next season for the University of St. Thomas volleyball team. The high school senior had a decorated high school career and was signed by Head Volleyball Coach Kallie Noble.

"Waverly is a tremendous athlete who will come in and have an immediate impact on our program,” Noble said. “She brings with her a tenacious work ethic and desire to win. I am impressed with her ability, volleyball IQ, but most importantly, her character both on and off the court.”

Waverly, a 5-foot-9-inch outside hitter, earned three varsity letters in volleyball at Pearland High School in Pearland, Texas.  In her senior year, Waverly averaged 2.7 kills per set, registering 308 total kills.  She also totaled 61 digs for an average of .5 digs per set.

"I chose the University of St. Thomas simply because I fell in love with it,” Waverly said. “It had everything I wanted in a school. I loved the atmosphere of the volleyball program and what they wanted from me as a player. I instantly felt the team and coach’s dedication to the sport."

During her high school career, she was Academic All-District for three years, Academic All-District Honorable Mention for one year, All-State Academic for one year and Second Team All-District for two years. Sadler has also been involved in National Honor Society, Alvin 4H, Science National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and HOSA.
