Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
Advent/Christmas 2008
December 16, 2008 – January 1, 2009
A “Once in a Lifetime” Celebration of Christmas in the Land of Christ’s Birth
Sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist and the Catholic Studies Program
As part of the Strategic Plan for Catholic Studies, we decided to extend our Study Abroad Program to opportunities for faculty, staff, administrators and alumni to pilgrimage to the most sacred places of Christianity. During the winter break 2008-2009, we will offer this first pilgrimage to the Holy Land, so that members of the UST Community can celebrate the final week of Advent and Christmas in the place of Christ's birth. Father Daniel Callam, CSB, will be the chaplain for the 14-day pilgrimage.
Please see the flier and daily itinerary. A $1500 deposit will reserve a place. Checks can made to the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, who are sponsoring the pilgrimage with Catholic Studies. Although no classes will be a part of this pilgrimage, selected writings of the Fathers of the Church will be incorporated into our experience.
We hope that some of you are able to join us in pilgrimage!
