Goals:
Class Agents will be liaisons between UST and alumni and act as UST ambassadors for the greater community. Class Agents will help increase alumni engagement with UST through communication, involvement and recruitment.
Responsibilities:
Communication
Contact alumni in person and by phone, mail and e-mail
Keep alumni informed of important University developments
Read the UST magazine and visit the Web site
Promote upcoming activities
Be an advocate on behalf of UST to alumni
Collect class news, obituaries, wedding notices and births to list in UST Magazine, web and/or to update PeopleSoft.
Share what you learn about alumni with UST.
Share alumni needs and concerns with UST
Involvement
Help organize class reunions
Coordinate other class or regional events
Encourage alumni to attend events/activities
Commit to attending UST events
Share volunteer opportunities with alumni
Help recruit new students
Recruiting
Act as a UST ambassador in your community and workplace
Send welcome notes to matriculated students
Attend recruiting fairs as schedule permits
Fundraising
Lead by example; make a gift pledge each year and give consistently
Help determine goals for participation
Sign fundraising letters
Participate in phonathon and send e-mails to increase class giving participation
Send personal thank you notes
