Hank Emery is the director of alumni relations and annual giving. He previously worked in development at the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. As director of alumni relations and annual giving, Hank helps maintain the University’s annual fund and strengthen and create new relationships between the University and alumni. He oversees the student-alumni mentoring program and alumni fundraising events. Hank earned a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Oregon State University.

Brenda Benkenstein ’05

Brenda Benkenstein graduated from UST in 2005 with a degree in communication and liberal arts. She has worked as a UST fellow in the Office of Student Affairs and as the Events and Publications Cordinator for Rice University’s Department of Chemistry. Brenda helps organize alumni events such as the monthly Alumni Social Hour at the Black Lab and the UST Nights at the Astros, and works with the Alumni Association Board of Directors. She is also pursuing an MBA in marketing from UST.

Ryane Jackson

Ryane is a 2007 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where she received her bachelors in Communications with a minor in Spanish. After graduating she worked for National Oilwell Varco as a Technical Writer before coming to UST. As the Asst. Director of Annual Giving, Ryane raises vital funds for the University’s Annual Fund and Annual Scholarship by cultivating and reaching out to alumni and friends of the University who in turn make generous donations towards the University and its students. In addition to serving as Asst. Director of Annual Giving, Ryane serves as staff advisor to the Black Student Union, a student organization. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Communications.
The Office of Alumni Relations in located on the first floor of the Link Lee Mansion, at 3800 Montrose Blvd. at West Alabama. Visitor parking is available in the lot adjacent to the house, in Lot L.
