1) How can I join the UST Alumni Association & what services are offered to alumni?
All persons who have attended the University of St. Thomas, regardless of length of study, are identified as alumni and are lifetime members of the Association. The UST Alumni Association is a non-due paying organization.
All alumni can take advantage of the following benefits:
- Celtic Connection On-line Community: Search the online directory, update your info, post class notes and pictures, or contact an alumni chapter near you.
- Networking: Receive invitations to association events and university activities.
- Publications: Receive St. Thomas Magazine, Shining Star E-Newsletter and Polishing the Star E-Newsletter free of charge.
- Career Services
In Crooker Center: Alumni can view or post job openings, receive career counseling, resume writing tips and interview advice.
- Bookstore discounts
Present your alumni membership card at the campus bookstore (located in Moran Center), and receive 10% off all UST logo items.
- Doherty Library
For only $40 alumni can become lifetime Friends of the Library, and receive check-out privileges and invitations to special events.
- Jerabeck Activity & Athletic Center
Present your alumni card to purchase a single yearlong membership for $120, or family membership for $240. Memberships include use of all athletic facilities and participation in intramural sports.
- Chapel of St. Basil
Alumni and friends are welcome to join in worship and prayer in the Chapel. Use of the Chapel is also available for weddings through the Office of Campus Ministry.
- Event facilities: Alumni are eligible to rent the various rooms available throughout campus for receptions or small gatherings. Contact Eileen Perkins, Facilities Coordinator, at 713-525-3574 regarding reservations, availability, pricing and more information.
- Tuition Discounts: UST alumni receive a 50% discount on tuition up to 12 hours. Undergraduate alumni may only receive the discount for further undergraduate courses, and graduate alumni may only receive discounted tuition on additional graduate courses. 2) How can I update my information or submit a class note?
The easiest way to keep your information updated is to log on to the Celtic Connection Online Community. This is a secure, free online service for UST alumni. You can post as much or as little contact information about yourself as you like
3) How can I find a classmate?
By logging into the Celtic Connection Online Community, you can access to the alumni directory, view alumni updates, post class notes or upload a picture and more. As long as the classmate you are searching for has given us permission to post their information, it is available to other members of the directory.
4) How can I get an Alumni Association Member card and what is it for?
Alumni Association Membership cards are mailed out within a few months after graduation. Membership cards allow you to log onto the Celtic Connection On-Line Community as well as receive your 10% bookstore discount on logo items. If you haven’t received one, or need a replacement, feel free to contact the Office of Alumni Relations.
5) How can I get a copy of my transcript or diploma?
You may get a copy of a transcript or new diploma by contacting the Registrar’s Office at 713-942-3465.
6) How can I make a donation?
There are various ways you may give to UST:
- By phone at the Office of Institutional Advancement, 713-525-3100
- By mail at: University of St. Thomas, Office of Institutional Advancement, 3800 Montrose Blvd., Houston, TX 77006
- In person by dropping your gift off to the Link Lee Mansion on the UST campus at the corner of Montrose and West Alabama

The Office of Career Services, located in Crooker Center, is a great tool to search for jobs and get help with writing your resume. If you are an employer looking to hire UST grads, you may post your companies job openings on the Career Services site.
9) How can I find out about upcoming events and reunions?

10) How can I see what’s happening on campus at UST?
Check out the University Master Calendar to keep up to date on all upcoming University events.
11) How can I buy UST merchandise or event tickets?
License plates and diploma frames are available through outside vendors. If you happen to be near campus, drop by the University bookstore located in the Moran Center, or shop the UST bookstore online. We will also feature some UST Alumni Association items, which may be purchased through the Office of Alumni Relations. We will change our featured items from time to time, so be sure to check back often.
Tickets to UST Alumni Association events can usually be purchased through the Office of Alumni Relations. For additional information about other campus events, please refer to the main UST Master Calendar of Events.
12) How can I find out about what the Alumni Board does, and how are board members chosen?
The Alumni Association Board of Directors is made 18 elected alumni who actively participate in the University community, and involve non-Board Association members in order to represent their opinion on all issues relating to the University - academic, administrative, financial, and social.
