The University of St. Thomas, in its sixty plus year history, has grown from seventy students attending classes in a converted mansion with a science building to over two thousand seven hundred students studying, learning and researching in nineteen blocks of academic, residential and recreational buildings. The growth, accomplishments and struggles of the University are recorded in the Archives in collections ranging from the papers of the presidents, vice-presidents of academic affairs, hundreds of photographs, collections of papers from individual faculty members, student publications of newspapers, yearbooks and literature, and the public affairs department which documented lectures, concerts, debates and the events that complete a university education.
Researchers of any topic are invited to explore the Archives. For further information, please refer to “Policies and Information for Archive Users” which is located on this web page and then contact the Archives for an appointment. |

| Hello and welcome to the web pages of the Archives of the University of St. Thomas. The Archives have existed for decades and now there are web pages to increase awareness of the Archives, provide a hint of the resources available to the University community, and encourage researchers to make use of the collections.
The Archives are an ongoing effort to capture the spirit and growth of the University. The documentation is embryonic but growing while the resources are considerable. For information about understanding archives and finding aids, please refer to the ”Archives Explained “ and “Finding Aids” Sections. For information about accessing the Archives, please review “Information for Archive Users.” |
