Overview
The University of St. Thomas Archives acquires and preserves records of the history and events at the University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas. Included are official records of administrative offices and departments, photographs, newspapers, university publications, yearbooks, directories, artifacts and other documents.

Location
The Archives are located in Siena House, 1305 Branard Street, just west of Graustark, on the campus of the University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas.

Access
Access is by appointment only between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm, Monday-Friday, with 48 hours advance notice required. The Archives are closed during University holidays. Please e-mail archives@stthom.edu or call 713.525.3895 to schedule an appointment.

Registration
Researchers are required to register upon arrival at the archives and provide either a UST or government-issued identification.

Research Regulations
- Personal briefcases, personal papers and phones are allowed, but space is limited. Please do not bring baggage. Laptop computers can be used at the discretion of the Archivist but scanners are not permitted.Phone ringers must be turned off or placed in silent mode.
- Only pencils may be used to protect the collection from marks and stains.
- No smoking, eating, or drinking is allowed in the research area.
- All archival materials must be handled carefully; use only one folder at a time and keep all papers in the original order. Do not place books or volumes face down. Do not lean or press on archival materials; do not trace maps or other records. Scanning of any material is not permitted. Wear gloves when handling photographs. The use of digital cameras without flash or tripod is permitted.
- No material may leave the archives or research area. Photocopies are generally permitted.
- If material is contained in the private papers of the University, then request access to that collection from the Archivist. It is at the discretion of the Archivist to provide access to the collection.
- Researchers are responsible for obtaining copyright clearance to publish or otherwise reproduce or distribute archival material.
- When publishing materials provided by the University of St. Thomas Archives, please use the following citation:
“COURTESY UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS ARCHIVES"

Photocopying
Unless restricted or protected by copyright conditions, photocopies of materials will be supplied for research purposes @ $.15 page. Only checks or money orders with proper identification will be accepted. The Archives reserves the right to refuse reproduction of any materials. Copies are unlimited but orders may not be filled on the day requested. The Archives reserves the right to complete the work at a later time. The minimum shipping charge for copies mailed within the continental United States, depending upon volume, is $5.00. Photographs can be photocopied but not duplicated.
