Photographic Collections
The photographic collection of the Archives contains several thousand prints. The photographs displayed here represent a few of the highlights from the history of the University, from turtle races during Parents’ Weekend to solemn religious ceremonies to the first commencement. The Link Lee Mansion and the neighborhood are shown during the early years of the University and as students transfer books from the Mansion to the “new” library in Murphy Hall. Overall, these photographs portray the growth of the University, both in spirit and in physical plant.
