Mission of the UST Insights Mentoring Program
Sponsored by the staffs of the Career Services Center and the Office of Alumni Relations, the mission of UST Insights is to create a forum for students to gain knowledge about careers and industries by pairing them with UST alumni who will provide the benefit of their professional experience and insight.

Benefits of the Program
Students will develop a network of resources that will help them achieve their career goals. Students will learn about career development and have your career questions answered. They may also have the opportunity to attend professional meetings and job shadow, in addition to learning about industry trends, the hidden job market, the power of networking, interviewing strategies, plus much more!
Program Overview
Mentors and students are encouraged to meet at least once per month throughout the spring semester. There will be five scheduled opportunities on campus for the cohort to meet as a group to encourage networking amongst all participants and to give opportunity for students and mentors to meet in person.
Meeting Dates
January 10, 5:30 PM** – “Meet Your Mentor” event
February 5, 5:30 PM – Informal Networking Night
February 21, 5:30 PM – Etiquette Dinner and Networking Night
March 13, 5:30 PM – Expert Employer Panel
April 10, 5:30 PM ** – “Shared Insights” event
**attendance by all participants is REQUIRED
Meeting attendance and staying connected with your mentor outside of meetings is vital to your success in the USTinsights Mentoring program.
Who can Apply
All majors are encouraged to apply.
Must be enrolled for fall 2012 and spring 2013 semesters.
Must be on track to graduate in May, August, or December 2013.
Application Deadline
All applications must be received in the Career Services Center (2nd Floor of Crooker Center) by noon, November 16, 2012.
