Call Pilot Quick "How To" Guide
A. Logging into your voicemail box for the first time.
- From your assigned phone, pick up the handset and press the “Message” key (this automatically dials 3131 for you).
- You will then be prompted to enter your mailbox number. Enter your extension or simply press # (The # key will automatically enter the extension of the phone you are dialing from).
- Enter your password followed by the # key when prompted (if this your first time to log into your mailbox your default password is 1 plus your extension backwards. IE: x1234’s default password is 14321).
B. Playing and deleting a message.
- Once logged in you can play your messages by pressing (2).
- Once you’ve listened to your messages you can delete by pressing (7)(6) or simply hang up to save. **Note that storage space is limited so please delete any unnecessary message from your VM box.
C. Recording your messages.
- To get to the greeting menu press (8)(2). This will allow you to listen\record your internal or external messages.
- You can choose the external greeting by pressing (1) or the internal greeting press (2).
- Once you have chosen either internal or external press (2) to listen to the current recording, (5) to begin recording, and # key to stop recording. * * If you are not satisfied with your recording press (7)(6) to delete the message and start over.
D. Changing the user’s password.
- After logging into your voicemail box press (8)(4).
- The system will then guide you through the rest of the process.
E. How to check sending voice mail from a different phone or off campus.
- Pick up any campus phone and dial x3131, enter your assigned extension followed by the # key, and then enter your password followed by the # key.
- To check mail off campus dial 713-525-3131 and it will work the same way as mentioned above.
- To send a voice mail directly to someone you call 3132 on campus or 713-525-3132 from off campus. Then enter the extension of the person you would like to leave a message for.
