University of St. Thomas Email Accounts
The University provides email services for students, faculty, and staff. All users setup their accounts through Webmail.

For Students - Using UST Webmail
1) Activating Your Email Account
To access Webmail go to myStThom. Under UST On-Line Services, click on the Login to Webmail link.
- Choose the “New User? Sign up online” link.
- Enter your UST ID Number and your date of birth (yyyymmdd).
- Enter a password that is at least 6 characters long.
- Enter your password a second time and click submit to receive your username.
- Return to Webmail, logon with your username and the password you selected during the signup process.
For Faculty and Staff - Using a desktop email client and Web email client
The University supports Microsoft Outlook for its desktop email client. For off-campus use, Webmail and Outlook Web Access are supported. New faculty and staff receive an authorization receipt providing them with their username and password.
1) Activating Your Email Account
- Go to myStThom, then click on the "Login to Webmail" link and login with the username and password provided on the receipt.
- Once you have logged onto Webmail, click on the Options tab then click on the Password link at the left of your screen to change your password.
- Enter the password listed on the receipt in the first blank, then enter a new password in the second and third blanks. Before leaving the Password page, click on the Change Password button to save your changes.
- To logout of Webmail, click on "logout" at the top right-hand corner of the page.

3) Accessing Your Email From Off Campus
The University is currently in the process of moving faculty and staff email accounts to a Microsoft Exchange server; therefore, some faculty and staff may access Outlook Web Access (OWA) rather than Webmail.
- Using Webmail
To access Webmail go to myStThom. Under UST On-Line Services, click on Login to Webmail link. Username and password is NOT the same as your network account username and password.
- Using Outlook Web Access (OWA)
To access OWA go to myStThom. Under UST On-Line Services, click on Login to OWA link. Username and password is the same as your network account username and password.
