LWC Policies
- We offer comprehensive peer tutoring for students currently enrolled at the University of St. Thomas.
- We require all students to SIGN-IN before any tutorial session and/or computer use.
- The MAXIMUM time allotted for any type of tutorial session (business, humanities, math, sciences, etc.) is 30 minutes.
- Every tutorial session must be accompanied with a Conference Note. This is a narrative description of what occurred in the tutorial. The white copy goes to the professor, and we keep the yellow copy for our own record keeping.
- We DO NOT offer proofreading or editing services, and we DO NOT do homework.
- ALL cell phones must be turned off or to silent in the Center.
- A tutor may work only with one student.
- We are not responsible for items left unattended.
- We are not responsible for loss of data due to disk or computer malfunction.
- In compliance with the UST student handbook regarding academic standards, we cannot assist students in any way with take-home exams.
Our goal at the Learning and Writing Center is to help students become more self-sufficient and confident with their learning skills.
The University of St. Thomas is a private institution committed to the Liberal Arts and to the religious, ethical, and intellectual tradition of Catholic higher education.
