Funding
The Office of International Services would like to remind you that financial aid resources are very limited for undergraduate students and extremely limited for graduate students. The following resources are being suggested:
Regular Part-Time On-Campus Employment
Employment opportunities for international students are limited by USCIS regulations and are available only to students who maintain their immigration status and academic standing.
F-1 students who are maintaining status may work part time on campus while classes are in session. "Part time" means not more than 20 hours per week. F-1 students do not need special authorization to work on campus. Most on-campus jobs are service positions, for example, shelving books in the library, doing clerical work in offices, and working in computer labs on campus.
Off-Campus Employment
To work off campus, F-1 students must obtain authorization from the foreign student advisor or the USCIS, depending on the circumstances. For more information on off-campus employment options, please see the International Student Advisor.
Scholarships
Undergraduate students seeking information regarding university scholarships should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Graduate students seeking information regarding university scholarships, internships or assistantships will need to contact the graduate program in which you will study. Below are some sources of Scholarships.

Federal Financial Aid
International students who wish to receive federal financial aid must meet federally regulated citizenship requirements. Please review the list of acceptable citizenship statuses below.
If your citizenship status is not listed on the list below, you will be ineligible for federal aid. You may, however, be eligible to apply for a Private Educational Loan to assist with your expenses. These loans are based on your income, your credit rating, and your ability to repay the loan. Most Private Loan programs require that non-citizens obtain a co-signer who is a citizen or permanent resident.
