OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR
Holds
Offices on campus place "holds" or "notes" on your account for many different reasons. "Notes" are just that, a notation on your file. A "hold" typically indicates that you need to settle something with a particular office before you will be allowed certain services, like transcript generation or registration.

Common holds placed on accounts are:

  • Academic Advising Holds - indicates the student must see an academic advisor before registering
  • Business Office Holds - usually indicates an unpaid balance
  • Doherty Library Holds - usually indicates a library fine

To view holds in your myStThom account, select Student Center off the myStThom menu on the left; Holds are listed on the right hand side. Use the details link to see what the hold is for, and which office to contact to resolve the issue.
