  13. Any tips on caring for my ID card?
Your ID card is not transferrable and is for use solely by the cardholder. Tampering with or altering your ID card may result in damage to the card and the cost of a replacement ($10). Depending on the severity of the misuse or abuse of your card, you may also lose cardholder privileges.

A little prevention could significantly reduce the probability of requiring a replacement card:

    • Refrain from tampering with the picture or information on the card
    • Do not puncture your card or affix stickers or decals to it
    • Keep your card away from magnets, electrical devices and excessive heat
    • Avoid carrying your card in pant pockets. The card will bend and could be damaged
    • Try to avoid scratching your card – if the writing or the picture is illegible, the card may be damaged
    • Last but not least, avoid losing your card; the information contained on it is yours alone
