    It is not often that one gets the opportunity to share research with the international scientific community, but that is exactly the opportunity Dr. Albert Ribes, professor of biology, was afforded when he was invited to the Sixth World DNA and Genome Day in Nanjing, China to present research data obtained with a bioinformatics tool he developed with Dr. Maia Larios-Sanz and two undergraduates.

    Spring 2015 hallmarked the start of a significant initiative: University of St. Thomas Nursing students can now do their senior preceptorships at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston. The first five students to do this—Muzzamel Khan, Lilian Moran, Kiana Shy, Andrea Uzcategui and Blake Wallin—were the pioneers of this important endeavor and the VA Medical Center staff is grateful for these UST students.

    Dr. Henry Foust, assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Cooperative Engineering, has been accepted to participate in a fellowship at the Emerging Propulsion Systems Laboratory at the Write Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
