Mardi Gras Gala
Tuesday, February 12, 2013 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM
63rd Annual Mardi Gras Gala

Honorees:
The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist

Chairs:
Gina and Dr. Devinder Bhatia

Fat Tuesday, February 12, 2013, is the night for A Mardi Gras Tradition, the 63rd annual University of St. Thomas Mardi Gras Gala at the Royal Sonesta Hotel Houston. The Annual Mardi Gras Gala is the University’s premier scholarship fundraising event. The University is committed to providing students with a religious and ethical values-based education and ensuring it is within reach. Many students would be unable to attend the University without the more than $11.6 million in scholarships and grants that are awarded annually.

This year we proudly honor the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist. Sister Paula Jean Miller, FSE, founder and director of the UST Catholic Studies Program, Sister Mary Roberta Connors, FSE, Pastoral Care Coordinator of Campus Ministry, and Sister Damien Marie Savino, FSE, Chair of Environmental Studies, are major contributors to UST’s drive for excellence in higher education. Sister Veronica Schueler, FSE, is a practicing attorney and uses her skills to resolve immigration issues for Catholic Charities. All of the Sisters participated in establishing Augustine Without Walls, a program that encourages students to integrate faith, academics, and life. Thank you in advance for showing your support by completing the attached reservation form and returning it to the addressed listed.
