Strong Values Equals Strong Business
Tuesday, November 27, 2012 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
The University of St. Thomas Business Ethics Society welcomes Ron Farmer, CEO of US LED, to speak on “Strong Values Equals Strong Business” at 7 p.m. on Nov. 27 in the Malloy Board Room. Farmer will share his insight on building a successful company based on strong values, customer service, valued employees and innovative products.

Farmer founded US LED in November 2001 along with six other businesses throughout his entrepreneurial career. US LED is a manufacturer of solid state lighting products for commercial, industrial and office applications. It is one of the fastest-growing companies worldwide.

Farmer has led US LED to win several awards, including a six-time winner of both the Houston Fast 100 and the Fast Tech 50. The company has also won the Houston Star Award and notably, Inc. 5000, as one of America’s fastest growing companies. Since its inception in 2001, the company has averaged 70 percent growth and is now a very successful international LED lighting company.

He also serves on the Advisory Board of Houston Achievement Place and for 19 years mentored entrepreneur students from the University of Houston Entrepreneurship program.

The event is free and open to the UST campus community, and RSVP by Nov. 23. Light refreshments will be provided. Also, bring a business card. For more information, contact Klaudya Jimenez at 713-942-5951 or bes@stthom.edu. Follow BES on Facebook.
