The Power of Your Personal Brand
Friday, February 22, 2013 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Your brand is your competitive advantage! It’s the sum of all the things that make you truly unique: your talents and expertise, your passion and values, your behavior and everything others expect from you. Your brand can enhance others’ perceptions of you. Thus, it’s imperative that you identify and leverage what makes you unique. After all, the genuine YOU is your best asset.

On February 22, brand specialist Karen Kershner will share stories about the value of a strong personal brand and how being authentic differentiates you from your peers. She’ll outline how to create and communicate your personal brand. Come take advantage of this opportunity to learn how to identify the attributes and behavior that make you unique.

As a Certified Professional Service Marketer, Ms. Kershner conducts workshops for professional groups and works within client organizations to develop employees and environments that support successful marketing activities. She founded Communications Plus in 1979 and ever since has developed and implemented strategic marketing programs for clients in the professional services industry. A professional coach, certified by the International Association of Coaches, Karen works to develop effective corporate cultures using a process she has dubbed “mindset.” An advocate for the power of storytelling, her presentation delivery and style is casual, charismatic and informative at the same time.

Karen is a Life Ambassador of the Greater Houston Partnership and serves on the Baylor College of Medicine Partnership Board. She is active in the Women’s Presidents Organization, American Marketing Association, American Advertising Federation, International Association of Coaches, AGC Houston, Second Wind Agency Network and the Society for Marketing Professional Services. Additionally, she is an avid supporter of school programs at Weekley Family YMCA.
