Annual Fund Case for Support
To reach our fiscal year goal of $1,000,000, we are seeking your support in the Annual Fund. It is not merely the amount you give but your involvement that counts. Whether you can give $10, $100, $1,000 or more, participation is the key to help us to provide necessary services and support to deserving students.
The support of our friends and alumni to the Annual Fund helps make it possible for the University of St. Thomas to:
- Keep tuition costs low. The healthier our Annual Fund is the more it helps our students keep their tuition costs from rising. Tuition income and endowment are not enough to sustain a University. When the Annual fund is supported it helps ensure that our school continues to run efficiently. The healthier our Annual Fund is the less likely our students will have to be faced with the stress of tuition increase.
- Provide knowledgeable faculty. The University is able to provide faculty development programs to ensure our student are being taught by the best! The majority of our faculty members have a PhD. and are the top in their fields of study. This experienced leadership has attributed to our students having a 67% rate of acceptance into medical school and an 89% acceptance rate into law school along with many other student achievements that would not have been possible without our superior faculty leadership.
- Keep St. Thomas beautiful. With the help of a strong Annual Fund the University is able to help keep the campus beautiful and a place that students can call home. After the devastation of Hurricane Ike in 2008, St. Thomas was left with many damaged buildings and trees. Through the additional support of our Annual Fund we were able to help repair the damages sustained and make room to plant more trees to replace those we lost.
- Keep our students ahead of the curve. By constantly providing the most updated books in our library, newest technology in our classrooms, and state-of-the art equipment in our laboratories the University of St. Thomas can continue to afford the necessary resources to ensure an ideal learning environment for our students.
Annual Fund wears many hats. Without a healthy Annual Fund we could not continue to be the “Shining Star” that we have become known as. Help us continue to shine brightly and light the paths of our student’s future by supporting the Annual Fund today. |
