"Death of a Salesman" Performance Proceeds Benefit Nursing School

University of St. Thomas graduate Louis Provenzano will return to campus to perform the role of Willy Loman in Arthur Miller’s iconic play, Death of a Salesman, at 8 p.m. June 9, 10, 16 and 18 in Jones Hall, 3910 Yoakum. Proceeds from performances will benefit the proposed School of Nursing.

Provenzano earned a Bachelor of Arts in pastoral theology in 1998, and a Master of Arts in pastoral studies in 2001and said he is honored to support the School of Nursing through his participation in this production. In the midst of his studies at UST, Provenzano was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church in January of 1999, and assigned to the parish of St. Justin Martyr. He provides marriage preparation, marriage consenting, baptizing of infants and small children and presides over burials. He owns Provenzano & Associates, an advertising, web design and public relations agency.

Provenzano was last seen in the Clear Creek Community Theatre production of Our Town. Recently he performed the role of Dr. Armstrong in the Agatha Christie Mystery And Then There Were None at Pasadena Little Theatre; Dr. Ernie Cusack in the Neil Simon comedy Rumors at Country Playhouse, and the Jury Foreman in the Pasadena Little Theatre production of 12 Angry Jurors. Other stage appearances include Lt. Roony in Arsenic and Old Lace, Hercule Peroit in Agatha Christie’s Black Coffee and, at Clear Creek Community Theatre in the role of Mr. Scrooge’s long-suffering accountant Bob Crachit in A Country Christmas Carol. Louis has written and performs Prepare the Way of the Lord, a play based on the life of St. John the Baptist and, The Conversion of St. Paul a play based on the last days of St. Paul.

Tickets to Death of a Salesman are $12 for UST students, faculty and staff and $15 for the general public. Tickets are available online.You may also email proagency@gmail.com to reserve your tickets for pickup at the box office on performance dates.
