University of St. Thomas Remembers Ron Stone

 As the entire city of Houston says goodbye to a man they welcomed in their homes for more than 30 years, the University of St. Thomas also pauses to remember the late Ron Stone, former KPRC Channel 2 news anchor.
Dr. Robin Williamson, chair of UST’s Communication Department, reflected on Stone’s life and the time he spent at UST. “Ron Stone touched the lives of University of St. Thomas’ students and faculty with his wit, wonderful experiences, and tremendous talent. He was the Communication Department’s Artist-in-Residence for 17 years. The media community has lost a legend, and we have lost a great friend and colleague.”
Stone passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the age of 72.
