Dr. Mary Sommers to Deliver Annual Thomas Aquinas Address

 Dr. Mary C. Sommers will be delivering the annual Thomas Aquinas Lecture at Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame on October 6, 2008.
Her address, entitled "Women's Courage: A Thomistic Perspective on Andromache, Joan of Arc and Rosie the Riveter" is a study of the priority of “womanly” over “manly” courage in the work of Thomas Aquinas. His work reflects the radical re-assessment of “courage” necessitated by the experience of martyrdom in the early Christian church.
