“I am honored to have served as chairman of University of St. Thomas Board of Directors,” said DeMontrond. “The University’s mission to educate leaders of faith and character has never been more relevant. Its future is bright indeed.”

Malloy is independent counsel for Marathon Oil Company. After holding legal positions with Conoco Inc. and Tenneco Inc., she held a series of executive positions with Tenneco, including Executive Director of Health and Environmental Services and of Strategy and business Development. Malloy holds degrees from St. Mary’s College, the University of Texas and the University of Houston.

She joined the UST Board of Directors in 2002, most recently serving as vice chair since 2008. She has chaired both the academic affairs and nominating committees and served on the executive and the student affairs committees. She serves on the Center for Irish Studies advisory board and chaired the 2007 Irish Gala. She is the Mistress of Pilgrimages for the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre Southwestern Lieutenancy, a Dame of Malta and serves her parish of St. Vincent de Paul as Extraordinary Minister and Lector. She chaired the capital campaign for Incarnate Word Academy and is a member of the Charity Guild of Catholic Women. She serves as a volunteer patient advocate at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and is a trustee of Houston Grand Opera. She and her family have long been avid supporters and benefactors of the University.

“It is an honor and a privilege to serve the University of St. Thomas, a wonderful institution,” Malloy said. “UST helps its students develop the values that are so important to the future of the Houston community and our country. I look forward to doing whatever I can to help UST grow and prosper.”

Harvey is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of D.E. Harvey Builders. He joined D.E. Harvey Builders in 1977 after attending Notre Dame where he studied architecture, and the University of Colorado where he received a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering. He assumed the presidency in 1986, and under his leadership, D.E. Harvey Builders was named No. 1 General Contractor in Houston Business Journal in 2001 and from 2006 to 2009.

Harvey joined the UST Board of Directors in 2007. He has served as vice chair and chair of the nominating committee, and served on the academic affairs committee. He is the lead benefactor of the UST Gulf Region Academy for Catholic Education (GRACE)
Program, generously enabling St. Thomas to introduce the Program, which has just welcomed its third cohort. He is a current board member of Catholic Charities, Houston Architectural Foundation, and Cristo Rey High School. He serves on the Strake Jesuit College Preparatory Task Force Committee and is a founding/charter member of the Legatus Houston.
