Men's Soccer Team Loses to UT-Brownsville

 The UST men’s soccer team was back in action and back on the road again Saturday, Sept. 25 to face UT-Brownsville. The Celts were looking for a little redemption as the UT-B Scorpions handed the Celts their first loss of the season on Sept. 4.
UST opened up the match in good form, controlling much of the play in the first half but struggling to score. The Celts created scoring opportunities, but just could capitalize in the first half. It looked like UST had figured out the Scorpion attack until with only 30 seconds left in the half, UT-Brownsville scored just before half time.
The second half saw a Celt team still reeling from the goal just before the break. That led to two more goals by Scorpions to make the score 0-3. Near the 75th minute, the Celts pulled the score back to 1-3 when Alex Rodriguez scored just minutes after entering the game. UST could not hold the momentum and allowed another goal to see the game finish at 1-4.
