Lady Celts defeat Our Lady of the Lake, lose to Friends University

 The University of St. Thomas volleyball team swept Our Lady of the Lake University, 25-15, 25-21 & 25-16 in their first match of the season on Sept. 1. The Lady Celts were led by sophomore Regina Trapp with 17 kills.
Friends University defeated UST in the nightcap on Sept. 1 in four sets. St. Thomas fell to the Lady Falcons from Wichita 25-21, 20-25, 18-25 and 26-28. Senior Brittany downs had 18 digs for St. Thomas in the loss.
