The University of St. Thomas volleyball team defeated Huston-Tillotson in three sets, 25-15, 26-24 and 25-18, on Aug. 30 in Jerabeck Gym.
Senior Stephanie Biediger led the team with 13 kills, and fellow senior Brittany Weiler chipped in with 23 assists. The victory was the first on the year for UST and the first win as a head coach for Kallie Noble.
“I am really proud of our girls tonight,” said Head Coach Kallie Noble. “We didn’t play our best, but we were still able to fight and stay on top to walk away with a win.”
St. Thomas hosts a Labor Day volleyball tournament beginning at noon on Friday, Aug. 31 in Jerabeck Gym. Teams from Montana, Louisiana, Illinois and Alabama will compete in the tournament.
