MBB Start Tourney Play as 3 Seed

 The University of St. Thomas men’s basketball team finished the regular season on a six-game win streak, closing out Wiley College, 76-64, on Feb. 25. The win improved UST to 24-6 overall and 17-5 in the Red River Athletic Conference, and allowed UST to be the No. 3 seed for the RRAC Tournament.
Junior Bryan Kaase had his second straight game of 21 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Travis Lampley had another double-double with 11 points and 10 assists. Wiley was led by Houstonian Dominic Jones with 15 points.
The Celts finished the season tied for second in the conference and will be the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament, which starts on March 1 at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. UST will play No. 6 seed Jarvis Christian College at 8 a.m. on March 1.
