Knasas Speaks in Lithuania

University of St. Thomas Philosophy Professor Dr. John F. X. Knasas spoke at the “500 Years of Philosophy in Lithuania” conference at the University of Vilnius in Lithuania, Sept. 27-28.
Knasas lectured on “Thomistic Reflections on Stasys Salkauskis Philosophy of Culture.” Salkauskis was an influential Lithuanian Thomist during the period between the World Wars.
Knasas has a long standing relationship with the philosophical community in Lithuania. Since 1997, he has participated in the planning, organization and teaching at the Thomistic Summer School in Nisia, Lithuania. In 2004, he was a visiting Fulbright Professor at the Vilnius Pedagogoical University, the University of Vilnius and the Department of Philosophy of Lithuania.
