Aquila to Serve on Italian Cultural Center Board

 Dr. Dominic A. Aquila, interim vice president for Academic Affairs, was elected to the Italian Cultural and Community Center (ICCC) Board of Directors. Aquila’s election marks the University’s continued association with ICCC, located only minutes from UST in the Museum District.
UST and ICCC have collaborated on a number of projects, including the I Madonnari Sidewalk Art Festival, undergraduate Italian language courses, concerts and recital, films and lectures.
“I look forward to continuing and strengthening collaborations and establishing others that benefit the ICCC and the students and faculty of the University of St. Thomas,” Aquila said.
Joanna Palasota, UST director of administrative computing and institutional research, has also been involved with ICCC for numerous years, serving as president from 2003 to 2005.
