Dr. Habib Chamoun-Nicolas Receives International Award

Dr. Habib Chamoun-Nicolas, businessman, author and Cameron School of Business adjunct professor of business, was recently honored with the Golden Cedar Award during a conference in Paris. He was presented the award by the vice president of the European branch of L’Union Libanais Culturelle Mondial (World Lebanese Cultural Union).
The award celebrates Lebanese leadership and honors individuals who take pride in their respective fields and never forget their heritage and culture. Chamoun-Nicolas was featured in the Dec. 6 edition of the French language publication, Les Libanais Dans Le Monde.
Chamoun-Nicolas’ book, Negotiate like a Phoenician, has recently been published in French. His book was also used as the textbook for a special topics that Chamoun-Nicolas taught at UST in summer 2010 called International Trade and Negotiation.

Over the last two decades, Chamoun-Nicolas has trained professionals and conducted trade with more than 30 countries. He has been a guest speaker and visiting professor at universities in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Chamoun-Nicolas graduated from University of Texas at Austin and the Monterrey Institute of Technology and has participated in several special executive programs, such as the Program on Negotiation at Harvard University and the Brazilian Seminar at the International School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He also currently serves on the Cameron School of Business Advisory Board.
