Celts Open Season with Back-to-Back Wins

The Celts Men’s Basketball Team opened the season at home on Nov. 2 with a 71-56 win over state rival Southwest Assemblies of God (SAGU).
After dominating the first half sporting a 15 point lead, the Celts closed out SAGU with balanced scoring by Jeremy Lewis with 13 points, Anthony Medina and Triston Grounds each with 11 points.
The 1-0 Celts next faced off against Jarvis Christian on Nov. 4 for their first road test.
Once again St. Thomas came out on fire in the first half building a 37-26 half time lead. The Celts were led in scoring again by Jeremy Lewis with 18 points. Johnathan Denning came off the bench to chip in 14 points going 3-6 from 3-point range. With the Celts dominating the boards, 49-31, it led to an easy 72-60 victory pushing their record to 2-0.
