The University of St. Thomas women’s basketball team suffered a 97-49 loss to Our Lady of the Lake University on Saturday.

The Lady Celts were led in scoring by Brooklyn McCall and Gaby Guzman with 9 points apiece.

The loss drops the Celts to 6-15 on the season and 4-12 in the Red River Athletic Conference.

With nine games remaining on the schedule head coach Mike Ricks would like to see his team finish the season strong.

"Everybody wants to win games and obviously we have struggled as of late, but it's just as important for us to continue to build for the future. We have to understand that our habits during practice and the way we go about our business on a daily basis are crucial to our long-term success,” Ricks said.
