Celts Defeat Paul Quinn College on Senior Night
The University of St. Thomas Men’s basketball team defeated Paul Quinn College 72-43 in their final regular season game and Senior Night on Feb. 29. The game was a sendoff for seniors Anthony Medina and Jeremy Lewis, who have played with St. Thomas since the first 2009-10 season.
St. Thomas was led by junior Adrian Morales with 13 points. Travis Lampley, who is third in the nation in assists, chipped in another 10 assists. The win improved the Celts to 18-12 on the season and 16-8 in the Red River Athletic Conference. Next up for UST is Southwestern Assemblies of God in the first round of the RRAC tournament on Friday at 10 p.m. The tournament will be in Waxahachie.
