Yellow Cards Lead to UST Soccer Loss
Delano FosterThe University of St. Thomas men’s soccer team was defeated at home 1-2 by the University of Houston – Victoria on Sept. 7.

The Celts were down 0-1 at halftime after missing a penalty kick late in the first half. In the 75th minute, Jamie Head scored off an assist from Delano Foster to tie the match 1-1. Late in the second half, senior Gonzalo Nemi picked up two yellow cards, which put UST to 10 men for the remainder of the match. In the 84th minute, UHV scored the game winner.

Next up for the team is William Carey University at 6 p.m. on Sept. 15 at home at Houston Amateur Sports Park, 12131 Kirby Drive.
