The University of St. Thomas men's soccer team lost a close game to the University of Texas-Brownsville 2-3 on Sept. 20.

UST sophomore Delano Foster scored the first goal of the game in the 37^th minute on an assist from freshman Chris Natera. Five minutes later, the Scorpions evened out the game.  In the 44^th minute, Natera put the Celts ahead jumping on a mistake by the UT-Brownsville goalkeeper. UST did not hold on to the lead for long because UT-Brownsville was awarded a penalty kick with no time left to finish the first half in a 2-2 tie. 

Both teams battled hard in the second half and stayed level at 2-2 until, in the 85^th minute, UT-Brownsville hit the game winner.
