
The University of St. Thomas
men’s basketball team is holding steady with a five-game win streak. The Celts beat Jarvis Christian College, 69-65, on Jan. 21, which improves their record to 8-3 in the
Red River Athletic Conference and 13-4 overall.
The team had a tough night shooting, but defended well against the fierce Bulldogs. The Celts led 37-29 at half, and worked hard to get the win on the road.
Bryan Kaase led the Celts with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Travis Lampley had 17 points and seven assists.
The Celts will take on conference opponent Louisiana State University-Shreveport at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 24 in Shreveport, La. LSU-Shreveport is ranked third in the RRAC while the Celts are fourth. The Pilots have the same conference record as UST with only one more non-conference win.
