Fr. Thomas Rosica, CSB, a member of the University of St. Thomas Board of Directors, has been appointed by the Vatican as the English Language Media Attaché of the Synod of Bishops on the New Evangelization that will take place during the month of October at the Vatican. Fr. Rosica is the CEO of the Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation and president of Assumption University in Windsor, Ontario.

In his new additional capacity, Fr. Rosica will take part in all sessions of the Synod of Bishops and moderate the daily press briefings and media conferences for the English language in the Pope John Paul II Press Hall of the Holy See Press Centre in Vatican City.

At the same time, Fr. Rosica will be the media spokesperson for the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops for the Canonization of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, when she and six others will be proclaimed saints on Oct. 21 at the Vatican.
