A forward at 5 feet 10 inches, Lormand averaged 7.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as a senior. A three-year letterman, she was also named to the First Team All-District 14-5A at the end of the 2011-2012 season.

She was also a member of 14-5A All-Academic Team from 2010-2012 and graduated in the top 16 percent of her class.

“We are very fortunate to add a player like Maghen to our program," Head Coach Mike Ricks said. "She has the ability to play inside and out. We really feel that she is someone who will improve our team right away.”

Lormand plans to major in history with a focus in pre-law.

The Lady Celts will start only their second season as a part of the Red River Athletic Conference against San Jacinto College on Oct. 24 in Jerabeck Gym.
