
The University of St. Thomas
volleyball team ended its second day of the Austin College Classic Tournament with a win and a loss on Sept. 8.
The Celts started its day with a win against the University of Dallas in three sets 25-17, 25-20 and 25-20.
Kirsten Kubicek had a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs.
Brittany Weiler handed out 28 assists and
Shirley Paul had 23 digs.
The team fell short, 2-3, in its second match against Concordia-Texas in five sets 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 12-25 and 11-15. Kubicek had a double-double with 17 kills and 17 digs, and
Stephanie Biediger added 16 kills. Weiler had a double-double with 36 assists and 19 digs, and Paul contributed 21 digs.
