Shirley Paul was named Libero of the Week by the
Red River Athletic Conference for matches played during Oct. 8-14.
Paul, a junior libero from League City, Texas, scooped 66 digs in two matches last week, averaging 6.6 per game. She recorded 42 digs in a 3-2 win over Texas Wesleyan University and 22 digs in a 3-2 loss to Southwestern Assemblies of God.
“I was very grateful when I found out I was receiving this award,” Paul said. “We have been working really hard individually and as a team, and we still have plenty of games left. I am excited to see where we are going.”
The Celts are 5-2 in conference action with a mark of 14-10 on the season.
